- שְׁפֵי, שְׁפָאch. same, to be quiet, at ease.V. שֶׁפִי. Pa. שַׁפֵּי to quiet, pacify, satisfy. Gitt.73a זיל שַׁפֵּי ליה go and pacify (settle with) him. B. Mets.15a ואֲשפֵּיוכ׳ (Ms. H. a. R. ואֵישַׁפֵּי), v. מְרֵק.Part. pass. מְשַׁפֵּי; pl. מְשַׁפָּן. Ib. 70a דמש׳ ניכסיה (not דמשפו) one whose property is at peace (undisputed by any claimants).
